In addition to being a multi Grammy award winning veteran musician, Jesse is one of the top private bass instructors on the east coast. He has +25 years of teaching experience across all levels and genres of music. He is known for leading inspired private lessons and ensembles.

Private students – meet once weekly or at your own pace. From beginner to advanced pro, Jesse has taught many people successful approaches to practice and performance. He enjoys helping less experienced students develop fundamentals that are based on interesting music, and with seasoned players, he will assist you in identifying goals and finding approaches that will help improve your playing quickly and significantly.

He has instructed at the Victor Wooten Berklee Camp, Berklee Summer Programs, Milton Academy, Umass Boston, Phillips Academy, and Concord Academy. He leads private ensembles that perform regularly at Boston area venues like Club Passim, Lily Pad, Beat Brasserie and Arts at the Armory, and additionally have the opportunity to produce pro-quality recordings each year.

His main teaching goals are to help students be inspired, develop good playing technique, learn exciting repertoire, and improve “on stage” skills – the skills that make top bands want to work with you!
